Allah, How do I Love You?

I was doing my Lail when suddenly remembered these verses and started to weep:

The meaning:

(And the hypocrites are) on the likeness of the devil when he telleth man to disbelieve, then, when he disbelieveth saith: Lo! I am quit of thee. Lo! I fear Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. (16) And the consequence for both will be that they are in the Fire, therein abiding. Such is the reward of evil-doers. (17) O ye who believe! Observe your duty to Allah. And let every soul look to that which it sendeth on before for the morrow. And observe your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Aware of what ye do. (18) And be not ye as those who forgot Allah, therefor He caused them to forget their souls. Such are the evil-doers. (19) Not equal are the owners of the Fire and the owners of the Garden. The owners of the Garden, they are the victorious. (20) If We had caused this Qur'an to descend upon a mountain, thou (O Muhammad) verily hadst seen it humbled, rent asunder by the fear of Allah. Such similitudes coin We for mankind that haply they may reflect. (21) He is Allah, than Whom there is no other God, the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible. He is the Beneficent, Merciful. (22) He is Allah, than Whom there is no other God, the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One, Peace, the Keeper of Faith, the Guardian, the Majestic, the Compeller, the Superb. Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him). (23) He is Allah, the Creator, the Shaper out of naught, the Fashioner. His are the most beautiful names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifieth Him, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. (24)

It was the meaning that made me weep. Thinking about how incredible the devil is. He convinced me so that I could spend hours to think of her while I couldn't spend an hour to think of Allah. I remember her during day and night but I am not able to remember Allah besides the praying time. I could spend money to call her without any hesitation but when it came to infaq, I always think not to give too much money. And there are many things I could do for anyone but not for Allah. Although I already knew that in the end of the day, when all of the deeds are counted, the devil said that he is irresponsible of what I have done. That's why during this holy month, it is my aim to clean my heart as well as my mind. Hence I don't have to bother myself to look for the way how to love Allah. O God, please give me strength to go through this!

Important Things in Life

There was this philosophy professor in a prestigious university who loved to teach students about important theories of the subject. Once, while his lecture was about to begin, he just closed the book and instead stood before his class with some items on the table in front of him. Students were curious but the professor without looking at them silently picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar. Thereafter, he started to fill it with small rocks. Once the jar appeared full, professor proceeded to ask his students ‘whether the jar was full?’

Entire class unanimously agreed that jar was indeed full. Next, the professor picked up some pebbles and began pouring them into the jar. The moment pouring was complete, he shook the jar lightly. As a result of that, all the pebbles rolled into the open areas between the rocks and settled comfortably.

Professor again asked the students if the jar is full. Same response from the class like before and they all agreed that the jar was full. Professor smiled a bit and this time he picked up a box of sand. He poured the box into the jar and sand filled the entire remaining spaces. Professor repeated his question to the class, if the jar was full? Yes again, was the unanimous response of the students.

Professor now turned towards the class and said, this jar represents your life. The entire things I poured into the jar symbolise some important lessons. The rocks are the most important things, i.e., family, your partner, health and your children. Even if everything else in your life goes away but the rocks remains there, your life would still be full because the most important things are still present in your life.

Pebbles represent other significant things like car, house and job etc. And the sand is the small stuff or everything else.

So the lesson to be learnt here is, you all have to be very selective about what to fill in the jar first and in what order. If your time and energy is spent on small stuff then there is no room for the pebbles or the rocks or in other words, most important things of your life. Always pay attention to things that are most important to you and never take things for granted.

So take care of rocks first and rest everything will fall into place.

The Buzzard, The Bat, and The Bumblebee

If you put a buzzard in a pen six or eight feet square and entirely open at the top, the bird, in spite of his ability to fly, will be an absolute prisoner. The reason is that a buzzard always begins a flight from the ground with a run of ten or twelve feet. Without space to run, as is his habit, he will not even attempt to fly, but will remain a prisoner for life in a small jail with no top.

The ordinary bat that flies around at night, a remarkable nimble creature in the air, cannot take off from a level place. If it is placed on the floor or flat ground, all it can do is shuffle about helplessly and, no doubt, painfully, until it reaches some slight elevation from which it can throw itself into the air. Then, at once, it takes off like a flash.

A Bumblebee if dropped into an open tumbler will be there until it dies, unless it is taken out. It never sees the means of escape at the top, but persists in trying to find some way out through the sides near the bottom. It will seek a way where none exists, until it completely destroys itself.

In many ways, there are lots of people like the buzzard, the bat and the bee. They are struggling about with all their problems and frustrations, not realizing that the answer is right there above them.

End of My Role

"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts..." (Jaques - As You Like It, Act II/Scene 7, p139–42 - Shakespeare, W)

Maybe this is the time for me to exit from your life. You have your life and i have mine. I shouldn't bother yours, and neither should you. If by any chance we can meet someday, I wish it will be under the eiffel tower. It will be even better if I am able to announce you as my wife. However, it is still a long way to go and I am going to focus on the things I have to do. So that I can fulfill one of my biggest dream, traveling around the world. With or without my own money. Similar to what Matt Harding did in his video below.

Despite of the reasons, I still consider you as my friend, my precious friend. Thus whenever you have problems, do not hesitate to call me. I am here to help. Be strong in your life, because I know you are stronger than what you think. Lastly, forgive my mistakes. Those were the attempts to cheer you up.
